Week 15 8th - 15th December 2013

Hello!

This week we have learnt to express instant decisions, plans, arrangements, predictions, offerings, promises, actions in progress in the future and fixed events in the future and use it in the classroom through role plays:

- Instant decisions: "This pen is broken. I will buy a new one".

- Plans: "I am going to visit my family next month".

- Arrangements: "I am meeting my manager on Tuesday at 5 pm.

- Predictions based on evidence: "It is cloudy. It is going to rain this evening".

- Predictions based on no evidence: "Arsenal will win the Champions League next year".

- Offerings: You look tired. "I will carry your bags".

- Promises: "I will love you for ever".

- Actions in progress in the future: "Tomorrow morning I will be working".

- Fixed events in the future: "The train leaves at 11.30 pm on Wednesday".

Week 13 25th November - 1st December 2013



This week we have learnt vocabulary on sports and leisure and have work on it through speaking, listening, reading and writing activities. We have also learnt phrasal verbs related to leisure, such as “take up”, “give up”, “get into”, and “join in”, and talked about which activities we like and dislike and why. We also learnt what Britons like and dislike to do and discussed about it.

Week 11 10th - 17th November 2013



This week we have learnt:

Vocabulary on shopping, including measures (a bottle, a litre, a pint, a gallon, a kilo, half a kilo, a pound, grams, a can, a tin, a dozen, a pound, a carton, a jar…), paying methods (credit/debit card, cash...), discounts…

Expressions related to shopping, such as “to run out of something” and “to have plenty of something”.

How to build sentences using the "past simple" and the "past continuous" tenses, and how to link them using “when” or “while” as needed.
